authenticity x Britta Ambauen

If you’ve followed this blog for any length of time, hopefully you’ll have gathered that I highly value authenticity in style. I don’t believe in mindlessly following trends or giving in to pressure to buy into something that I don’t truly enjoy or believe in. Life is just too short to try to please everyone, and that goes double for personal style. I don’t write, photograph or otherwise endorse anything on here that doesn’t feel authentically “me”, and that’s something you can count on as a reader!

That said, I was absolutely thrilled when Britta Ambauen Jewelry reached out to me to collaborate. I love their pieces and the variance in what they create, but what I like most about the brand is their motivation to be unapologetically themselves in what they do. It’s a match made in blogger heaven! The gals who run the Austin-based brand are also as sweet and kind as can be, so this collaboration was really a no-brainer. I was already a fan of theirs and was beyond flattered when they contacted me to represent their brand.

These silver ‘hook’ earrings* jumped out to me immediately as a piece I’d wear on the daily. I’d been meaning to add more silver to my jewelry rotation as I seem to be in a gold period with the accessories I’ve been choosing lately (this pair also comes in a 14k gold fill or solid 14k gold!) The modern, flattering shape and interesting lines of these earrings make them the ideal everyday pair, yet would elevate any look for a special occasion.

Britta Ambauen also creates pieces with stones and integrates color in a very thoughtful, modern-yet-classic way that speaks to my personal style. A few additional favorites (all images via Britta Ambauen):

Delicata moonstone ring

Truest Self Talisman necklace

Mountain Range bangle

I ran into the creators at their booth during Renegade Craft Fair earlier this month in Austin, but you can peruse their webshop 24/7. Supporting local makers is one of my favorite things in the world, and Britta Ambauen is a true gem (jewelry pun most definitely intended). Check it out and give these local maker ladies some love!
