Lately I’ve been appreciating the idea that inspiration truly is everywhere. My coworkers have been a constant source of inspiration when it comes to fashion: there are so many women I work with who, in spite of the fact that we work in a notoriously casual, laid-back industry, will show up every day looking fresh and well put-together. Like Alet, my coworker Sarah nails the ‘work-appropriate/age-appropriate’ formula. More than anything, this chick is on point:

When it comes to places to find cool, funky, yet workplace-appropriate garb, I’ve been having a lot of luck with Madewell lately. I scored these flats last week for a screamin’ deal ($29.99 marked down from the original $128 price tag!) and this military-style jacket via Shopbop that’s great for layering over summer dresses and will transition perfectly into the fall season. I’m also crushing on this cross-body tote: great color, incredibly practical, well-structured… let’s just say it speaks to me.
